In northern Afghanistan, a van fell into a gorge, resulting in the death of 24 people, including eight children. The deputy governor also died in the explosion.

On Wednesday, a van plunged into a gorge in Afghanistan. In this accident, 24 people, including eight children and 12 women, lost their lives. Deen Mohammad Nazari, the police spokesperson of Sar-e-Pul province, reported that the van fell into the gorge due to the negligence of the driver. The incident claimed the lives of 24 people. It is worth mentioning that accidents occur daily in Afghanistan due to poor road conditions.

Death of Taliban's Deputy Governor in a Bomb Blast Meanwhile, Maulvi Nisar Ahmad Ahmadi, the deputy governor of Badakhshan province and a Taliban operative, was killed in a car bomb explosion in the provincial capital, Faizabad. According to media reports, the incident took place on Tuesday morning. As per the information from the Taliban leadership in Badakhshan and the head of the Information and Culture Department, Maujuddin Ahmadi, the deputy governor's convoy was targeted by an explosive-laden vehicle at Makhama Plaza in Faizabad. Another person was also killed in this incident, while six people were injured.
According to Ahmadi, the suicide bomber detonated an explosive device in front of the vehicle belonging to the deputy and acting minister Maulvi Ahmad Ahmadi, causing the death of the deputy governor and his driver. Some people in the vicinity also sustained injuries from the bomb blast. A local resident stated, "I was sitting nearby. We heard the sound of the explosion, and my brother came to me. His neck and legs were covered in blood. We immediately took him to the hospital."
