In a tragic incident, militants launched an assault on a private gas plant in the Hangu district of northwest Pakistan's Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The exchange of gunfire between the security forces and the terrorists resulted in the death of at least six individuals, including four security forces personnel. The police issued a statement confirming the casualties and revealed that two gas plant workers were also among those killed in the attack. Following the incident, security forces swiftly arrived at the scene and cordoned off the entire area. A widespread search operation has been initiated to apprehend the perpetrators responsible for this heinous act. At present, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack, leaving the motive behind the assault unclear.
